A Funny thing happened to me on the way to explore Mexico City....and the powers of Facebook:

On my trip to Mexico City in February 2017, as I result of a Facebook post, I received the following message:  

​

Hi Judith. 

This might catch you by surprise, but I don't want to lose the opportunity that you're currently in Mexico City. 

My name is Tofi Buzali Przedecky I'm a third generation Mexican and my grandfather immigrated from Klodawa during WWII. 

Some years ago while doing a high school project on my ancestors I found your family's website, but I wasn't able to get in touch with you. This is how I ended up adding you on Facebook. 

 

I saw your recent post and know that you are currently in Mexico city. I would love to get in touch with you and explore if there's any relationship between our families.

​

Fortunately, I was able to meet up with Tofi and we had an amazing visit at a beautiful open air restaurant in Polanco, the Jewish section of Mexico City. Tofi brought along the family album he had created as a result of his high school project, and which was the reason he originally tried to contact me years before, but for some reason could not. I was even fortunate enough to be able to meet his entire family the following evening for dinner (which unfortunately did not get photos of)
